In this weekends matches, Manchester Utd. and Liverpool gained useful away wins. Manchester City and Tottenham both had home wins. Manchester City remain in top spot, but only by 2 points. At the foot of the table, Blackburn, Bolton and Wolves are really struggling, they all lost again. Norwich continue to punch above their weight, and are now in ninth place.
There are a lot of fixtures over the Christmas period, if results don't go their way, some managers could be out of a job !

Bit of a mixed bag this week as far as results are concerned.
Manchester Utd had an easy win over struggling Bolton. Tottenham the form team of the moment, had to settle for a home draw against a battling Wolves side. Liverpool and Stoke played out a 0-0 draw. Norwich got a good win at West Brom, and Blackburn beat Fulham 3-1.
Wigan play league leaders Manchester City tomorrow.

In the two big games this weekend, Manchester City just edged out Tottenham 3-2, and stay top of the table. Manchester Utd won 2-1 away to Arsenal to remain in second place.
Sunderland continued their mini-revival beating Swansea 2-0
Blackburn, Bolton, and West Brom all gained points, in their battle to avoid the drop.
Meanwhile, Wolves continue to struggle, this week losing at home to Aston Villa.

This weekends matches saw wins for Norwich and Newcastle, over Bolton and Aston Villa. Arsenal thrashed Blackburn 7-1, with van Persie getting a hat trick. Wolves gained a much needed win at QPR, but both clubs are still in trouble in the relegation battle. Manchester City remain in top spot after their win over Fulham by 3-0. Chelsea and Manchester Utd played out a 3-3 draw today. Tomorrows game [weather permitting] is between Liverpool and Tottenham, should be a good match.

In the big match on Saturday, Manchester Utd beat Liverpool 2-1, putting them in top spot, until today when Manchester City beat Aston Villa 1-0 to regain 1st place. Everton had a good 2-0 victory over Chelsea, and Tottenham beat Newcastle 5-0. At the foot of the table, Blackburn gained a useful 3-2 win over QPR. Wolves suffered defeat again, they lost 5-1 at home to their near neighbours WBA.

Manchester City remain in top spot after their 3-0 win over Blackburn, but Manchester Utd kept the pressure on them by winning 2-1 at Norwich.
Arsenal won the North London derby against Tottenham, beating them by 5-2. Wolves and Wigan gained a valuable point apiece, against Newcastle and Aston Villa respectively.
Chelsea helped their under fire manager with a 3-0 win at home over Bolton.

The two Manchester clubs both registered wins, and stay top of the table, with Manchester City just 2 points ahead.
Arsenal had a good win away to Liverpool winning 2-1.
The big North East derby between Newcastle and Sunderland ended 1-1.
At the bottom of the league Wigan and Wolves both suffered defeats. Fellow strugglers QPR and Blackburn managed to get a point a piece in their games.

At the other end of the table, Wolves and QPR both lost again, they are in deep trouble, and desperately need points.
Aston Villa , Chelsea and Sunderland all gained 1-0 home wins, against Fulham, Stoke, and Liverpool, respectively.

A reduced league programme this week, due to teams involvement in the F.A. Cup.
Manchester Utd. stay top of the league after trouncing Wolves 5-0. Wolves are now at rock bottom of the league.
Swansea gained a fine 3-0 win at Fulham.
Newcastle won 1-0 at home to Norwich, and Wigan and West Brom. played out a 1-1 draw.

Manchester City go joint top, after a 1-1 draw at Stoke.

Manchester City lost 2 valuable points in the title race, by only managing a 3-3 draw at home to Sunderland.
At the bottom of the table good wins for QPR and Wigan, gave them some hope. But poor Wolves lost yet again.
Elsewhere, Everton, Fulham, and Newcastle all enjoyed home wins.

Manchester Utd go 8 points clear at the top of the table today, after their 2-0 victory over QPR. Their nearest challengers Manchester City lost 1-0 at Arsenal. Looks like the title is heading towards Old Trafford !
Elsewhere Wigan were unlucky losers at Chelsea, which leaves them in relegation trouble along with Blackburn and Wolves, who also both lost.
Liverpool struggled to a home draw with Aston Villa, whilst Tottenham drew away to Sunderland.

Manchester City closed the gap at the top of the table after they won 2-0 at struggling Wolves. Their main rivals Manchester Utd were held to a 4-4 draw at home to Everton.
Tottenham and Liverpool both continued their run of bad form. They both lost 1-0 to QPR and West Brom respectively.
In the London derby, Arsenal and Chelsea played out a 0-0 draw, as did Aston Villa and Sunderland.
At the bottom of the table Blackburn gained a precious 3 points by beating Norwich at home 2-0. But Bolton could only manage a draw 1-1 against Swansea.

In their fight to avoid relegation, Wigan had a superb 4-0 home win against Newcastle. Whilst fellow strugglers QPR and Blackburn both lost. Tottenham beat Blackburn 2-0, while Chelsea thumped QPR 6-1. Liverpool and Everton both won their games quite easily. Sunderland, Swansea, and Stoke all drew, against, Bolton, Wolves (who are relegated], and Arsenal.
The two Manchester clubs play each other on Monday night, this game could decide which of them wins the title.
