This is one of the cable channels that we get here in the states, hafta pay for basic cable i think. If u were curious, here's what's usually on (this is taken from this week's info on my tivo menu:
Changing Rooms Cash in the Attic What not to wear Whose line... As Time Goes By Are you being served? Appearances My hero My family BBC World News Benny Hill Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares Bad Lad's Army Coupling Brilliant! NY-Lon The Night Detective Bargain hunt Waterloo Road Hex Ed vs. Spencer High Spirits Comics The Persuaders Absolutely fabulous The Catherine Tate Show Spaced Peep Show Black Books Just for Laughs The Mighty Boosh Father Ted Talking movies The prisoner The Saint The avengers Sharp's Regiment (movie) The Best Man (movie) Goodness gracious me without prejudice Footballer's Wives Manchild Life on Mars The Vice If I had You (movie)
Certain shows are repeated daily, sometimes more than once. I don't watch any of them really, only Just for Laughs every once in a while cuz I noticed it and I already knew of the Canadian troupe...they also aired the Brits (is that what u call the music awards?) about a month and a half ago...I tuned in right when James Blunt was singing live and the swimming nymph girls were on the big screen behind him...Kelly Clarkson's performance blew me away!!! I also watched one Benny Hill episode just for nostalgic reasons.

Footballers wives--theres a show called The Soup that makes fun of tv shows and celebs usually from US, but also around the world (on E! Network). they made fun of the pug smothering baby in crib scene...lmao it was cute in a morbid way...very morbid way.
they used to show benny hill on regular tv when i was little, most of it went over my head at the time, but a few mos ago i tuned in just to walk down memory lane and saw a funny skit where he couldn't understand someone with a thick scottish or british (couldn't tell) accent, he himself being a man of the country. he gave the audience a confused/shocked/bewildered look, it was hilarious! just thought of it now and thought how ironic since people here in america are giving cat such a hard time for no reason--i think they CAN understand her and are just being evil.

we have two shows similar to that:
- harry hills tv burp - lip service
tv burp is miles better, they do really funny sketches
and yeah, the fake-tan-on-the-baby scene was really funny, and guttin for her when the dog sat on her baby!

my concern with syndicated tv (not this channel cuz i'm sure most americans don't watch) out here is that america is just seeing these stuffy, brutally harsh yet truthful, standoffish, brooding, 40-50 year old men in suits as judges...American Inventor had one, American Idol (well, tight t-shirt here), sytycd Nigel, America's got Talent Piers Morgan and so on...the last name i mentioned cuz i noticed that on the last show when they introduced Piers they showed these 8 year old looking kids booing him...america's gonna think they represent everyone and form thier views of uk based on them! where's the young, hip, laid back male brit??? i mean, I know there out there but what about these young minds? thoughts...?

the only male presenters that are laid back which stand out for me are ant & dec, and ben shepherd. most male kids tv presenters seem calm but thats kids tv where nobody is really bothered about what you do

leno and letterman can get insulting in their opening monologues but not to the celebs faces...
conan o'brien is my fave! i used to watch him all the time but he comes on so late (1230-130am) now that i cant (i get up early now)
oh yeah, chef ramsey is the most brutal of them all, i wonder what most americans think of him...i usu look past that and really look at their faces n eyes to judge them...ramsey looks to me like he's got a good heart, really a softy underneath all of the creative cursing.
