I was wondering what US tv shows the Uk has versions of and vice-versa. Do you have Dancing with the Stars? I know that SYTYCD and American Idol are US versions of UK shows. Any others? What about Survivor- where people are stranded on a desert island? And just any other shows. Please reply. I would love to know.

yep, dancing with the stars is identical to strictly come dancing, studio and everything. american idol is like x factor seems as though pop idols gone ... (but x factor has a slightly different format, they let in anybody and the judges mentor catagories. this year it is: simon cowell (16-24 year olds) sharon osbourne (25+) louis walsh (groups) also, the public vote for who to save and the people with the least votes end up in the bottom two where the judges decide who goes) just thought id mention that to show how pop idol has evolved in the uk NIKITTA TO WIN!!!and survivior like eric said we did have but was only on for a year because nobody watched it but they took the format, put it in a junge and made im a celebrity get me out of here whcih you also get i think (they shown one series over here i think) you have also had the gameshow marathon like us, the sharon osbourne show like us (our version wasn't based around the osbournes though) and you get big brother all stars where we get big brother and celebrity big brother but its a much bigger deal over here than it is over there. just watch the eviction/entry clips on youtube to see that

Thanks. Yeah we have big brother over here, But it certainly is not as big of a deal as it seems like it is over there.

just take this for example: its a long clip, its the golden ticket thing but this was all done live, publicised for months etc www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQFforc_bCIand we do have a version of sytycd, its called "strictly dance fever" but its more along the lines of strictly come dancing as its still based as ballroom but they still win a dancers role i think and i believe you also have the apprentice and deal or no deal?
