Ant and Dec... world domination RELATED STORIES • Alien Ant (and Dec) charm Ant and Dec's new plans By NADIA BROOKS Sun Online
DYNAMIC duo Ant and Dec could become telly's new comedy kings.
The TV faves have been mulling over scripts for a comedy drama.
Ant and Dec will soon be seen in UK cinemas in Alien Autopsy but are also looking for a decent TV serial to get their teeth into.
And they insist that the laugh factor has got to be high.
The 30-year-old best friends were speaking at the Royal Television Society Awards in London.
Ant said: "We’ve got lots of ideas we’re working on, not just Takeaway but even comedy dramas. That’s the important thing – that there are lots of laughs."
The pair are famous for hosting hit shows such as Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
But in 2002 they starred in A Tribute To The Likely Lads – a one-off based on the comedy series starring James Bolam and Rodney Bewes.
The Geordie boys hit UK cinemas next month in Alien Autopsy where they play two hoaxers who fake footage of a post-mortem on an extra-terrestrial downed in the alleged 1948 Roswell UFO crash.
But Ant chuckled: "I don’t know how Hollywood would feel about a couple of jokers like us."
