Hi,
I'm new to the site. It seems this is Cat central on the web, but most of the members here are from the U.K. I just got introduced to Cat for the first time from this season's SYTYCD; before that I never heard of her. A little research and I understand why... most of her work is in the U.K.
So do you think lots of other people from the U.S. will follow my example and start seeking out Cat fan sites... such as this one?

we would like members from all around the world we have a few US members and 1 from spain the problem we have in getting members is that there are so many sites containing Cat stuff that we are very hidden in search engines so when ppl type in Cat's name they wont find us unless they keep looking So if you can tell as many people in the US about www.catdeeley.tk that would be very helpful

Indeed, you have a point. This site does not come up at the top in Yahoo, which is the search engine I always use. Fortunately, this site is linked from other sites, which is how I found it. For example, it was easy to locate the MSN Group which pointed to this site. And, most importantly, the Wikipedia article points here. When you're linked from Wikipedia, people will find you. Actually, it doesn't seem there are really that many Cat sites on the web. I surfed through the first few dozen search results in Yahoo, but found very little content. The number of fan sites is small enough that you could possibly contact all the webmasters and request that they add a link to this forum. I don't know... maybe you already have. Get lots of people clicking in from other sites... That's the best way to boost search rankings, right?

yep, and also by searching cat deeley and clicking on us helps (i think) as for the cat sites, i think they were around from her "peak" as a presenter when it got to the point where it seemed like she was on everything but as she's faded away from british tv, the sites stopped getting updated hopefully, if most americans also use yahoo, we will get found more and we will get more members. ps: if you know any other fans of cat or on any forums you ever go on, please don't hesitate to link us, we'll be very greatful

"Faded away"? So apparently Cat is not seen much on British TV any more? This was the first I've heard of such news. Of course, it makes sense, since the Cat sites I found are indeed pretty old, some of them by a couple years. A year on the Internet is like ten years in the regular world. A site that hasn't been updated in 3 years is like a generation gap. To the best of my knowledge Google is BY FAR the most-used search engine. Yahoo trails in 2nd place, with other search engines way back in the depths of forgottenness. (Hope you like that word... I invented it on the spot! It seems to me that Google and Yahoo return practically identical results, but I prefer Yahoo because I like its display format better. I can scan it faster than I can scan Google's results. Not sure exactly why, maybe font choice? I'm curious, was it an admin from this board who posted the links on Wikipedia? I find it curious that the two very different-looking links both point to this board.

we have 3 different addresses for this site i mainly advertise catdeeley.tk cos its easy to remember but it does carry annoying pop ups the catdeeley.co.nr was Tom's old unofficial site which he had to close because it was taking up too much of his time Cat was one of the most search celebrities at one point back in 1998 i think and there were loads of really gud sites but the webmasters have gotten older i guess and given up on updating their sites and many have gone I dont have any experience with website i only started this forum because we had problems with the old host i'm really pleased with the progress we have made since it started last October hopefully more people including more US fans join the forum

Wow, I think you're doing pretty well for only having this board going since October. It can take a couple years to get a lot of interest going in a new site.

Well SYTYCD has made me a HUGE Cat fan and i live in the US. I cant get enough of her! I know the UK fans probably won't agree, but i hope to see her a lot in the US. The morning show The View is looking for another girl and I think Cat would be great. But, on second thought, I dont know if i'd want to put Cat through that. She is much more fun and intelligent than the other women, except maybe for Barbara Walters in the intelligent department. But anyway, I deffinately want to see more of her no matter what. I live for Wednesdays and Thursdays nights to see her on SYTYCD!

What does everyone think about Cat possibly doing a dance on SYTYCD? I think it would be great, if the producers and Cat were a bit comedic about it. A crazy hip-hop routine would be hilarious! Not that I think that Cat wouldn't do a good job, I just can't see her being serious about it. She is so funny naturally, that i think it would not be real to her if they took it seriously. Does any one get what I'm trying to say? It's not really coming out right. Anyway I think Cat should do it, but like she said on LA, have it be "a bit tounge-in-cheek".

i think i know what you're saying...but i'm worried about the backlash, all these meanies who don't understand her are going to have a field day! in a way you just have to laugh at them and their dumb remarks. hip hop would be fun...but how bout campy broadway?!?! dare i even suggest vaudeville?!?!

Broadway would be fun too. And I see what you mean about the meanies. But I think she will do good so hopefully they wouldn't have much to say about it. But, then again, I think she is perfect now, and the meanies don't like her.

I think she's perfect too and I can't wait for the show in just 3 hours! have u gone 2 the sytycd message board? the ones who write bad things about her are so transparent...bitter, super critical, and jealous...i keep asking myself why is the world so evil? but a lot of people are saying positive stuff now, more and more, we have to spread the love

Yes I have been on that message board. I have written a lot of good stuff about Cat (my screen name was smash58) and have tried to "spread the love" but most of them are so hard-headed that they don't like Cat just because they don't want to like her. It is messed up. So I haven't been on that forum for a while. I prefer to stick to this one where evey one loves and supports Cat. SYTYCD starts in 20 minutes, I can't wait! I wonder what Cat will wear tonight. It is always a treat!
